Family Support Specialist - Hybrid
Our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Specialist to join their team in Denver, Colorado, US . This hybrid role combines in-home client engagement with remote administrative duties, focused on strengthening families and empowering them to navigate challenges. You will provide support, resources, and guidance to families, helping them build resilience and achieve their goals.
In this important role, you will work directly with families to identify their needs, strengths, and challenges. This includes conducting home visits, facilitating family activities, providing parenting education, and connecting families with community resources such as childcare, housing assistance, and educational programs. You will act as a supportive ally, fostering positive parent-child relationships and promoting healthy family dynamics. A portion of your responsibilities will involve remote case management, documentation, virtual team collaboration, and participation in online training sessions, requiring proficiency in digital tools.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for supporting families. Experience working with diverse populations in a social services, education, or community support setting is highly desirable. A background that includes personal experience with the challenges faced by the families served can be beneficial. You should be organized, self-motivated, and able to manage your time effectively across both in-person and remote tasks. Proficiency in basic computer applications and the ability to learn new software for record-keeping and communication are essential. A high school diploma or GED is required; some college coursework or relevant certifications are a plus.
Key responsibilities include:
